Alongside his conducting career, David Hernando Rico has developed an extensive international career as a symphonic recording producer, with more than 25 years of experience working on projects for clients across Europe, the United States and Asia.

As Music Director and Recording Producer of the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra, he has led and produced more than 900 recording projects, spanning film scores, video game soundtracks, classical repertoire, television and international pop productions.

His work has been released by major labels including Sony Music, Warner Music and BMG, among others.

Film & Screen Music

Film music and orchestral studio recording are central to Hernando's work. His experience combines the musical perspective of an orchestra conductor with an in-depth understanding of the technical and artistic demands of professional recording sessions.

He has conducted and produced recording projects involving internationally renowned composers including Michel Legrand, Hans Zimmer, Lorne Balfe, Brian Tyler, Roque Baños and Joan Valent.

Several projects to which he has contributed have received major international recognition, including Goya Awards and other film-music distinctions.

His recording experience encompasses large symphonic sessions, synchronization to picture, click-track recording, orchestral overdubs and projects requiring close collaboration with composers, orchestrators, music producers and recording engineers.
