Conducting the Music for Tad the Lost Explorer and the Magic Lamp: My Experience on the Podium
Updated: Sep 30
It is a great pleasure to share with you the official release of the Original Soundtrack for Tad the Lost Explorer and the Magic Lamp (Tadeo Jones y la Lámpara Maravillosa), now available on all digital platforms.
The Challenge from the Baton: The Recording Sessions
Conducting a score of this magnitude demands maximum interpretive precision and complete synergy between the orchestra and the images on screen. The soundtrack was recorded in the historic Studio 1 of Slovak Radio in Bratislava, a formidable acoustic space ideal for recording a 75-piece symphonic orchestra, as required by this score.

The Performance of the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra
On the podium, I had a ensemble of 75 top-tier musicians. My goal as a conductor was to articulate and shape every nuance of Zacarías’ score: from the light and comical moments to the most thrilling action passages.
I would like to highlight in particular the flawless work of the brass section, which brings the epic force required by the film, as well as the virtuosity and expressive delicacy of the woodwind soloists.
I am deeply grateful to Zacarías Martínez de la Riva for his continued trust in placing me at the helm of the orchestra on this musical journey and bringing the adventures of the Tad Jones saga to life.
